BRIEF 2 EVALUATION

EVALUTATION

The final resolution is successful in terms of resolving the initial issues within the current website. The majority of people in the survey and the feedback discussions had the same problem: the website communication doesn’t work well at all beacause of the messy composition, layout, and the very old design. Looking back at the brief I think I have achieved what I set out to do. I have rebranded the website Anglais Facile, that is supposed to make learning English a pleasant experience, successfully, thanks to the simple navigation system.
Firstly, I am pleased with the overall design I created. I think the minimal design helps understanding the website jn a better way. We are able to see all the website’s content in a glance. It’s clear and organised, which is the complete opposite of what it was before. That was my first goal. With regards to the colours, I was a little worried by using primary colours. However, it turns out to be just a touch of colour so the general look stays balanced. I was also not sure about  the white background.

I didn’t want to have an empty website, but the pictures make the website fuller and livelier.
Secondly, I do think the final outcome of tmy logotype is appropriate as the elements I have included are coherent and thought through.
Thirdly, I have been interested in the views

of other people regarding my design. With regards to the minimal design people agreed that a clear communication is key. They told me it is simple, but efficient. They also found it different from a random website with the aim to teach something. I , however think I could change my text size, maybe 14pt is too big for this kind of design. For exemple, you can’t have all the classes together, you have to scroll down the page and it might get annoying to do. Regarding the pictures, French people enjoyed the idea, they played the game ‘how many pictures can I recognise?’. They also noticed that most of them are about dancing, laughing and freedom. They said the phrase ‘sooo Bristish’ many times. That’s why I think I achieved my goal to give it an English ambiance.  It could’ve been better to link my pictures with their own videos. In that case, the user could know from which part of thevideo the screenshot comes from and therefore enjoy it more.
Finally, about the content, the ‘of the day’ works well too. For exemple, after various people read it, they asked me for more funny phrases. The only way to learn a lot of them is to come back on the website every day. It will create daily users and increase the loyalty.
To conclude, I think my final website is a success and it’s appropriate in relation to my original aim. It makes learning English through Anglais Facile easier, funnier and more enjoyable
